New 4WD robot chassis is 3/4 the size of my 2WD chassis. It'll be interesting packing the electronics (USB battery pack, rpi, motor hat, pan/tilt camera set, IMU, and 3x URS) onto it…

Sure, but my time is limited and hexapods are more fun ;)

AI and robotics, via one of the MOOC sites' "nanodegree" programs.

Agreed --- I've mostly been looking at some 4WD chassis as a starting point, but eventually I'd like to do aerial and underwater vehicles, too.

As for stairs and walking, I'm partial to hexapods, myself.

Maybe toast doesn't make the requisite sacrifices to the gods of video?

I've been better. Things staying the same visually is good, I think it's fine the way it is. How are you?

Tired and a little down --- rejected from a trade school program for software engineers due to not being good enough (aka not strong enough in the prereqs), but doubling down on getting that foundation in. I was up until 3 am this morning trying to finish up one of the prereq courses, so that doesn't help, but I really expected not to make it in this round. How's life on your end? I saw something on pnut about FORTRAN (or is it Fortran these days?)

@kdfrawg Thank you, sir. It's amazing how much faster time seems to go when you have a lot to do (and with a purpose).

I feel this way about robots… the nice thing about them is that you (probably) don't need the internet. Robots are great, aren't they?

Hello. It's been a while since I last logged in (where does the time go‽). How's everyone doing?
