Thank you, sir :)

New Post: Walking around Berkeley [kyle.10centuries.org]

Even then it'll have to wait its turn.

Indeed! I bought a mirrorless camera because they're easier to take around than my DSLR; I bought this camera in particular for a number of reasons including that several people I know have it, which means I could try it out first. The hope is that this translates to taking pictures regularly rather than sporadically.

I took a few test shots [lemondetourne.net]; I'm happy with the camera but still have some work to do getting used to it.

I think my favourite of the pair of lenses I'm borrowing is this Rokinon 21mm f/1.4 manual-focus lens.

I caved in and went mirrorless with a (used!) Fujifilm X-Pro2; fortunately, I know enough other Fuji photographers that I could get by with only buying the body and borrowing some lenses. Image

Well, we did only go about two miles into the Wilderness proper. Some sections along the trail were pretty desolate --- lots of rocks, not much green.

Went backpacking in the Desolation Wilderness this weekend: https://photos.app.goo.gl/pLpTKDEluIB6J5s62
